THE LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL and RLHC

Our biggest event of the year.  We entertain and educate more people and students in 6 short weeks than at any other time during the year and we get to do it in our own backyard.  Our village is Albright.  A thriving middle English village.  We have a Midwife building, an Inn, a working chandlery, a piper's hut, a cobblers shop and a mill-wrights area.  All of these buildings/areas coupled with our enthusiastic and well schooled/trained interactive cast of characters makes this the perfect place to learn about pre-industrialized societies.

Most of our members are LARF Cast members and are part of the all volunteer cast of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.  The perfect compliment of education with recreation adds to the allure of this festival.

During festival Albright has many merchants in which to shop for period clothing, jewelry, toys and artifacts.

We can't forget the entertainment.  The LARF staff go out of their way each year to find the very best stage shows for your entertainment pleasure.  A center piece is the full contact Joust at the Joust field.

Our Queen

What visit to Albright would be complete without an audience with Her Majesty.  Queen Elizabeth is simply stunning. Be made a Lady or Knight of Her Majesty's Court.  Her Majesty is a delight for both young and old.
